BioResource hosted OpenClinica

For studies using the hosted NBRCIT infrastructure, a number of OpenClinica environments are being provided:

  • OCPlay  available for study leads to access OpenClinica immediately to gain familiarity with the system prior to study set up on OpenClinica. Contains sample CRFs. OCPlay will be regularly reset to a ‘clean state’.
  • OCTrain – a ‘clean’ environment through which training will be delivered
  • OCDesign (set up for each study) – provided for CRF design, testing user access, study process and rules logic
  • OCLive (formerly called OCsecure) – provided for studies using live data entry, limited data import will be supported on this instance. Will be integrated into the NHS network, where possible provide lookups to NHS datasets and will hold patient identifiable information (under development)
  • OCImport  provided for studies importing data from a third-party system, live data entry will not be supported on this instance

If studies choose to install their own local instance of OpenClinica or use an alternate system, they will be required to submit their study data files in a format compatible for import into OCImport.RDCIT SDS images
