Information Governance provides a way for staff to deal with consistently with the many different rules about how information is handled. Information governance is essential training for all staff who holds Research passport or Letter of Access.
The purpose of the IG assessment is to enable us to measure our compliance against the law and central guidance and to see whether information is handled correctly and protected from unauthorised access, loss, damage and destruction. All staff who holds Research passport or Letter of Access will be asked to complete, and pass, follow-up IG training every year alongside regular mandatory training.
There is the Data Security Awareness Level 1 – Workbook to help you have a better understanding about Information Governance, please read through prior to start the assessment.
